Mini Veggie Tempura Fritter

These beautiful fritters, or Japanese Kakiage (Ka-ki-a-ge), offer a great side dish or snack alternative. Their ornate presentation adds beauty to your meal while their appetizer sizing makes them enjoyable to eat.

They contain shelled edamame, carrots and white onion. Our tempura recipe uses whole eggs for better taste and consistency than ordinary Tempura, and fish paste to make our fritters light and airy. And reduced starch and wheat content helps make them healthier. The result is a taste and texture experience that is simply delightful.

Our fritters are easy to bake in the over or cook in a fryer. Try them as a delicious side dish with fish, or as a topping on a bowl of freshly steamed rice or noodles. Pair them with a nice white wine or champagne/sparkling wine.

They’re also wonderful as a snack fresh out of the oven, along with your favorite dipping sauces.

Ingredients:
Onion, Carrot, Soybean, Cutlassfish Paste, Vegetabl Oil, Powdered Vegetable Protein, Corn Starch, Potato Starch, Sugar, Salt, Dried Bonito, Wheat Flour, Rice Flour, Soybean Oil, Sodium Bicarbonate, Monosodium Glutamate, Water (CONTAINS: Soybean, Wheat, Cutlassfish) (MAY CONTAIN: Milk, Egg)
Serving Ideas:
1) Side dish, served with fish, rice or noodles, 2) As an appetizer or snack. Great with dipping sauces!, 3) Pair with a white wine such as Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, Chablis, Pinot Grigio, or Orvieto, or a champagne/sparkling wine.
Preparation Methods:
1) Fry from frozen at 350 degrees 1 min 20 seconds until light golden brown. 2) Oven prep on cooking sheet on 200 degrees for 8 minutes.
